"Social Justice" Schools - Poisoning the Minds of Our Children

An article appearing in the Springfield Republican on August 4, 2014 "Duggan transforming into social justice magnet school" Springfield's Duggan School transforming into social justice magnet school | masslive.com is only one example of the great danger sweeping across the country today attempting to poison the minds of our children. Indoctrination, not education, is the theme, with the emphasis as the title implies on "social justice". In recent years the sound good words, "social justice", are really code words for socialism and it appears that this is the real theme of the new direction of this school. Follow the money...the school is partially funded by and dependent upon the federal government, the US Department of Education. Social justice is a constant theme of the Obama administration.

What social justice is really about is:

* Discrediting our history as a country and our Founding Leaders and emphasizing what the early heroes did was wrong and that they really were not good people. That we should be ashamed of our history as a country, not proud.

* That democracy and capitalism are failed systems of government...that we should move more toward "social justice" (socialism).

* That we should move toward "distribution of wealth", take money from the rich (and all those that work) and give to others through heavy taxes and by other means. While most people believe in helping the poor and those in REAL need, this is much different and creates a nation of dependency upon government rather than the self initiative that has been the hallmark of America. That the federal (and state) governments should take this money and then give it by various means to others in creating a system of dependency upon government. Government should rule, not the people, since government knows better. Upward mobility of people in life should be discouraged, the government will take care of you.

* That we should greatly lessen our power as a country world wide, and de-emphasize our military significantly.

* Teaching that global warming, (or is it now climate change?),  is an absolute, undisputable fact and disallowing any other evidence or opinion, scientific or otherwise. That we should not seek energy independence through coal, oil, natural gas or any other form of fossil fuel...even if any of them are made to be "clean". They are all bad, no other opinion allowed. That humans through the emission of carbon dioxide are the main cause of polluting the environment. That people, homeowners and businesses, should be more than willing to pay sky rocketing costs for clean green energy. (Do you want to bet that all of these issues will be weaved into the curriculum at Duggan through "science" classes and social justice oriented classes? )

* and so much more

Yet we have NOT learned from history. The REAL and proven failed system of government is socialism. Socialism is sold by giving people the impression that they will be taken care of by the government, that they will take care of ALL people and all of their needs. What it does eventually is push people into a lower state of existence and into a state of dependency upon government. It takes away all incentives for people to better themselves in life. After a time, people do not like this. Their natural human spirit and instinct wants to propel themselves toward something better, they don't like this lower ceiling imposed upon them by government. They don't like this lower state of existence. They then begin to rebel. In order to maintain control the government gets more dictatorial and suppressive, they have to keep people in line. Socialism then turns toward communism, a brutal, dictatorial form of government where not only are people in a state of lower existence but most of their precious freedoms are taken away. We have examples of this in the former Soviet Union, China, Cuba, Central America , the former Yugoslavia, and in other communist countries that maintained brutal control over their people.

Nowhere was the comparison between democracy / capitalism and socialism / communism more vivid than the side by side comparisons in East Germany / West Germany and North Korea / South Korea. While West Germany and South Korea were thriving as democratic / capitalistic societies; people were actually starving in North Korea (still are) and East Germany...living in poverty. This is a direct result of socialism, the system of "distribution of wealth" , taking care of people, and all the other good words that the people were sold.

Oh yes, these countries also have / had the "one per centers" at the top. They are called the Communist Party.

Hillary - The Facts - NO to Her as President

* Hillary Clinton was fired from the Watergate Committee by lifelong and respected Democrat, Jerry Zeifman, Chief of the House Judiciary Committee investigating the Watergate scandal that eventually brought down the presidency of Richard Nixon. She was fired for being a liar and for unethical behavior by Zeifman.

* Hillary was involved in a fraudulent land scheme, Whitewater, while she was a partner in the Rose Law Firm in Arkansas. Some say she masterminded it. A key witness and financial partner of Hillary, Jim McDougal, was sent to prison and died there.  Also with the Rose Law Firm were Webster Hubbell and Vince Foster. Hubbell was sent to prison for tax fraud; Vince Foster turned up dead in Fort Mercy Park, Virginia. There were some questions about his death, he was a material witness into the Whitewater Investigation.

* Hillary fired the head of the White House Travel Office, Billy Dale, based upon trumped up, false charges. She then put in his place friends, Harry and Susan Thomas, so that they could reap the benefits of the government travel office. Billy Dale was later cleared of all her charges, but not before his life was virtually ruined. This came to be known as "Travelgate".

* In what became known as "Filegate" it was uncovered by the House Government and Reform Oversight Committee that Hillary had ordered up, without proper legal justification, more than 900 FBI files concerning the White House Travel Office scandal in an attempt to cover up this information. During this same Committee investigation it was discovered that Hillary and Bill Clinton also covered up and suppressed more than a million potentially incriminating E-mails.

* While Hillary, to this day, claims to be a champion of women's rights she throughout her married life has been an enabler of her husband toward the sexual harassment of women. She places political ambition ahead of women's dignity and rights. She knew that her husband was a philanderer and predator toward women. He used his high executive positions as Governor of Arkansas and President of the United States in order to gain or force sexual favor. This is sexual harassment at the highest level. Hillary not only enabled her husband in this illegal practice, she attacked the women who came out and disclosed his predatory actions. She called a very young Monica Lewinski a "narcissistic loony toon" as one example.

The Bill Clinton list is long: Paula Jones, Monica Lewinsky, Gennifer Flowers, Kathleen Wiley, Elizabeth Ward Gracen, and Dolly Kyle. There are many more. Kathleen Wiley said of Hillary: "How can you be a champion of women's rights and turn around and do what she's done to women like me?" She said that Hillary ran an investigation and smear campaign aimed at discrediting her and claims she did it to other countless women. Hillary, a champion of women's rights?

* Nothing was more devastating to the United States as what happened during the Clinton Presidency as he was moving toward his 2nd term and money was needed for the Democratic Party and his reelection campaign. It has been called "Chinagate" and even though documented the full extent of it's damage to America for some reason has not been fully revealed. During this period of time Hillary was heavily involved, so much so that many considered her as "Co-President". She was said to be the mastermind of the scheme where the Clinton reelection campaign of 1996 took bribes from communist Chinese banks and their government in order to bankroll their reelection campaign. She had Secretary of Commerce, Ron Brown, sell seats to executives of major corporations who were seeking Chinese business on Department trade missions to China.

During this time VITAL secret US information was given to the Chinese including rocket, missile, and space technology, nuclear weapons technology, encryption technology, military logistics technology and more. Just before Bill Clinton left office he gave China perpetual Most Favored Nation trade status with America. Today we can see the fruits of all this where China has surged in their rocket and space programs and where they have dramatically improved militarily. We can also thank Bill and Hillary Clinton for the fact that practically everything that we buy in America today is "Made in China". The "Chinagate" scandal in late 1996 and early 1997 got to such a level that joint congressional hearings were empanelled. Yet they were shut down when some Republican wrongdoing on illegal fundraising was uncovered. This along with the Monica Lewinsky scandal caused the whole thing to just drift away. Secretary of Commerce, Ron Brown, was killed in a plane crash in 1996 and there are some questions about his death.

And then there is Sandy Berger, former National Security Adviser to Bill Clinton. In 1999 he was "criticized" for not disclosing the espionage that China had acquired the designs of several US nuclear warhead designs. Yet he knew about this in 1996. In 1998 a diversion took place, taking people off track. A Chinese / American scientist, Wen Ho Lee, was falsely accused of nuclear weapons espionage in giving information to China. This took attention away from the Clinton administration. Wen Ho Lee spent 9 months in prison without due process. Upon his release the federal judge apologized to him.  In 2003 Sandy Berger was caught stealing documents out of the National Archives, stuffing them into his pants and socks. On all counts the Clinton's stood up for him, he got away with a misdemeanor charge. No matter, in Hillary's 2008 run for President, Sandy Berger was her Foreign Policy Advisor for her campaign.

* It is well documented and it has been extensively reported about Hillary's utter disdain for members of the White House Staff during the Clinton Presidency, including aids, Secret Service personnel, the FBI, and especially the military. She has been quoted as using the most profane foul language imaginable to the people around her...really degrading others. This should be a window into Hillary's true character.

* "I remember landing under sniper fire. There was supposed to be some kind of a greeting ceremony at the airport, but instead we just ran with our heads down to get into the vehicles to get to our base." Hillary Clinton giving a speech at George Washington University, March 17, 2008. Yet a number of media people present and nearly 100 accounts of her visit to Bosnia showed NO threats or sniper fire whatsoever on her visit. Telling the truth...or not...is a measure of character.

* Hillary Clinton. as Secretary of State had a direct responsibility for US Embassies and for Consulates. This includes their funding, staffing, and protection. Yet the Consulate in Benghazi, Libya, a very dangerous and volatile region of the world, was grossly under protected....and even with forewarnings of dangers. In addition it was September 11. Yet the Consulate was attacked by organized terrorist action on that day and our Ambassador and 3 other Americans were murdered. Hillary and the Obama administration knew that evening that it was an organized terrorist attack. Yet for political purpose they chose to lie about it to the American people and tell us it was a spontaneous outbreak caused by a You Tube video. Hillary not only lied, she sent her report, US Ambassador to the UN, Susan Rice, out to 5 major TV networks to perpetuate the lie. Hillary then proceeded to lie to the families of the deceased Americans when their coffins were returned to the US.

We are at the crossroads in American history. In my lifetime I cannot recall our great country being so low. We elected a President that we knew very little about other than he had no prior leadership or management experience, no financial / budgetary experience, and no foreign policy experience. Most of his other background remains cloudy and a mystery to us to this day. It was a mistake.

Yet we have in front of us an opportunity, perhaps a last chance to save our country by placing good leadership in the highest office. Some have said that Hillary Clinton is a sure thing to become our next President.

I ask you to look at the facts above and ask yourself....Is this the type of person that you want to lead our country?

Israel - Hamas, Time to Recognize the Truth

After World War II the cry was "never again" in reference to the Nazi concentration camps and the brutal inhumane killing of over 6 million Jews...men, women and children. Yet we have not learned, history is repeating itself. Anti-Semitism is growing across the world to a level even greater than that of the World War II era. It is certainly present throughout the Mid East, but shockingly it is also prevalent throughout Europe and the United States. Further, it is present throughout the media, Western governments, including the United States, and certainly in the United Nations.

There is no greater evidence than the upside down, hypocritical, totally irrational thinking and reporting concerning Israel and the Hamas controlled Gaza Strip. In 1994 Israel gave this territory to the Palestinians in the attempt to bring about peace. Yet this territory has been a source of rocket / missile launching at civilian populations in Israel. No other country in the world would sit back and allow this to happen without some sort of response. Hamas does not want peace. They do not recognize Israel as a country. Worse, in their Charter they call for the destruction of Israel and the killing of all Jews. Hamas is recognized in all rational areas of the world as a terrorist organization. The son of the Hamas founder, Mosab Hassan Yousef,

has stated that they are a terrorist organization. He stated that Hamas wants to push it's radical political and ideological agenda and wants to destroy Israel and ANY country that does not believe in its ideology. During military conflict they purposely place, and even drag, children and women to places where they are engaging in military action since they KNOW that the Western media will pick up on this and blame Israel. This is exactly what happens...played for suckers. There are even videos of Hamas dragging screaming children to their military sites to be used as shields showing this.

Israel goes to extremes to forewarn residents of the Gaza Strip of the areas that they will attack in response to Hamas military strikes against Israel. They send leaflets, make phone calls...do everything possible...unheard of during warfare when your country is being attacked.

Yet what the media does is alarming. If they treated Hamas as a moral equivalent to Israel that would be bad enough. What they do is even worse than that. About 80% of all media reporting is anti-Israel...it is Israel's fault. The United Nations does the same...blames and criticizes Israel, in this case about 90% of their issued statements! Our own federal government criticizes Israel for defending itself in spite of all known facts concerning Hamas. The only real democracy in the Mid East, our strong ally and supporter, Israel, and it's leader, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu are continually insulted by our current administration. In some cases they even show favor to Hamas. House Minority Leader, Nancy Pelosi recently called Hamas a "humanitarian organization". Totally unbelievable.

When writing this letter I continually asked myself...Where are the Jews? Why do I have to write this letter? Where are all the Jews across America and Europe? Why aren't they speaking up? Why do they ideologically, in very large numbers, align themselves with the left when they are obviously ant-Israel, anti-Semitic? It is like spitting in your own face. Why aren't they defending the Jewish state, Israel, the Jewish people? Their Jewish faith?

There is a right and wrong here and it is crystal clear. There are many good Palestinian people. Yet Hamas is about an evil of an organization that you are going to find. I am a Catholic but I love Israel and I love the Jewish people. I highly admire Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. He stands out as being one of the greatest leaders of our time...courageous, clear thinking and clear speaking. Everyone, including our own government, should listen.

Fight Against Common Core - For Your Children

By dangling federal funds in front of the states, the federal government has circumvented the law and the Constitution and is binding most of the states into following the same academic standards, using standardized assessments funded and reviewed by the Department of Education, and building the most expansive data collection system on our children in American history. Here again is a case where the federal government is taking control, in this case education, and most importantly the minds of our children. They use all the feel good and sound good words, but what in effect they are doing is, step by step, taking power away from the states and the local school districts. Common Core is a set of nationalized educational standards that are really the first step toward a national, federally controlled curriculum.

The approach is simple, but very devious:

1) Entice states to sign up by dangling large sums of (taxpayer) money in front of them. Use "sound good" words to describe Common Core in kind of general and nebulous terms. Amazingly, just like with the Affordable Care Act a majority of states have signed up for Common Core without realizing what is in it!

2) The states and the schools over time will become dependent upon the money from the federal government and will not want to lose it. They will be "hooked". And that is the intent.

3) The federal government will take complete control over what children are taught in school. The worst possible outcome.

4) The federal government will establish a "program officer", and most likely a board that oversees compliance through the Department of Education. This office will have the power to redirect consortia activity and (money) if "outcomes are inconsistent with intended project outcomes". In other words complete control.

Common Core has nothing to do with education. It is all about power and control by the federal government. Control over the minds of our children.

The United States and our citizens were taken by all the lies and deception of the Affordable Care Act, where the federal government now has complete control over our healthcare. Common Core will now give the federal government complete control over what is taught in our schools and the minds of our children. This is very, very dangerous for our country.

Fight it! For our country and for your children....FIGHT IT!  

Massachusetts Budget Out of Control

Massachusetts is is now $130 billion in debt. Also, 29% of the state's revenue is dependent upon the federal government, and the federal government is $17.6 trillion in debt. For Fiscal Year 2014 Governor Deval Patrick submitted a budget, during a depressed economy, for $34.8 billion, a 7% increase that included a $1.9 billion tax hike and a $400 million withdrawal from the state's (mysterious) reserve fund. Under Patrick, between FY's 2009-2013 expenditures increased $11.7 billion, a 23.6% increase while the cumulative rate of inflation during this same period increased only 9.1%. This clearly shows the pattern outspending both income and inflation as our massive state debt increases.


The Massachusetts FY 2015 Budget (beginning July 1) passed by "lawmakers" is $36.5 billion, a $1.7 billion, or 4.9% increase. The current rate of inflation, 12 months ending May 2014 is 2.1%, so our state budget increase is 2.3 times the rate of inflation.


The State House News Service has reported that the FY 2015 Budget exceeds the estimated 4.9 % revenue growth and also counts on casino licensing fees of $73 million and slot parlor revenues that may or may not happen, essentially betting on the come. This seems to be a practice all too common under the Patrick administration and our one party legislature. Claimed revenues that are in the budget are not solid and this invariably leads to dipping into the mysterious "reserve" or "rainy day" funds. When you are $130 billion in debt it has already "rained".


What is desperately needed in Massachusetts is fiscal responsibility by our elected representatives. Currently there appears to be NO responsibility. It is only a matter of time before the entire Massachusetts economy will come crashing down. Then all the citizens of the state, irrespective of party, will be severely and negatively affected. I urge people to look at the facts and not at just the political rhetoric. It all comes down to basic arithmetic, and it will affect everybody.


In 2012 a State Integrity Investigation graded the Massachusetts budget process. They gave Mass an "F" for Public Access of Information; an "F" for the State Budget Process; and a "D+" for Legislative Accountability. The citizens of Massachusetts deserve better than that. They also deserve a media / press that doesn't just report what they are told, but does true journalism in asking the tough questions and digging out the facts....a true practice of the First Amendment.

How to Bring About Dramatic Improvement of the Veterans Administration

If I were the US Secretary of Veteran Affairs This is what I would do to turn things completely around and the timetable to do so.

1) Working with others, while still maintaining strong leadership, I would immediately put in place a new Mission Statement for the VA. This Mission Statement would be placed in a prominent location in every VA facility in the nation. The Mission Statement would contain a reference to our very purpose of existence....to serve all veterans to the highest possible level of promptness, quality, care, customer service, and follow through. Our human concern for their care will be paramount. I would make it clear that all employees of the VA understood and followed this Mission Statement as a condition of employment.

2) I would ask the President and the US Congress to pass immediate legislation that would allow me and my designates the ability to fire any employee of the VA that did not perform and live up to the highest standards of veteran care.

3) I would assemble a meeting of all regional heads of the VA and let them know specifically what our new standards are and what will now be expected. At this meeting I would let them know that any manipulation of records or performance would result in immediate dismissal and possible criminal prosecution.

4) I would do away with all internally generated measures of performance and put in place ONE PRIME MEASURE. That measure would be based upon input from veterans, themselves. Veterans will be asked on an ongoing basis to rate the performance of the VA on the following:

a) Promptness of gaining an appointment and ability to receive responses...customer service.

b) Quality of their medical care and their processing as a patient.

c) Follow through on them as patients.

d) How they were treated, the human care and dignity aspect exhibited by the VA.

A rating system would then be summarized for each location and region and kept constantly visible. The veterans will determine performance, not some bureaucratically generated internal rating system. Where the veterans ratings of a location are low these will be investigated. Not all problems may be due to individual performance but due to other factors that need change and support. Yet individual performance will also be judged based upon veterans input and corrective action taken.

5) New standards of expectation will be put in place. These standards will be partially derived from ongoing studies of results from the private and public sectors concerning medical care, particularly from some of the best performing hospitals and clinics in the nation. Also such things as the number of patients typically seen in a day for given specialties as compared to the VA.

6) People, including good VA employees, thrive where there are clear rules and high standards and when they succeed they are rewarded. To begin with the pay of all VA employees will be slightly better than the average for their job description or specialty in the public or private sectors. Based upon veteran ratings, they will be subject to bonuses. Performance, pay raises, and promotions will also be tied to veteran ratings.

7) High performing locations and individuals, based upon veteran ratings, will be celebrated and recognized.

At the end of 6 months you will see initial progress.

At the end of 1 year you will see notable progress.

At the end of 2 years you will see substantial progress.

At the end of 3 years the VA clinics, hospitals, and patient care will be recognized as being the best in the world.

All of this CAN be accomplished. This is a guarantee.

Filthy Fish on Your Plate?

The United States is bound by two oceans and a gulf, and has many thousands of lakes, rivers and streams, yet we import 91% of our seafood. Why? Worse only about 1 percent is inspected and only 0.1% is tested for banned drug residues according to the US Government Accountability Office. Filthy fish products may contain dirt, insect fragments, and rodent hair according to News21 (journalism program at Arizona State University).

Even though the United States is richly bound and blessed with waterways and fish sources we are ranked 13th in the world and have a $10.4 billion trade deficit...and it is growing. Again and again where is our leadership on this? We should be consuming 91% of are OWN fish, not importing it. And, we should make darn sure it is well inspected, clean, and healthy.

The next time you sit down and have some seafood think about what you are eating! There is a high probability that you will be eating un-inspected seafood from China. Are you comfortable with that?
