Diocese Threatens to Close Storied Catholic High School

Save Cathedral High Day Announced - December 16, 2014

The Roman Catholic Diocese of Springfield, Massachusetts threatens to close one of the most storied Catholic High Schools in the nation. Cathedral High School in Springfield was destroyed by a tornado on June 1, 2011. Since that time students have heroically made due, without complaint, in an old abandoned elementary school in Wilbraham, MA . They anxiously looked forward to a new high school after suffering for 3 years over an insurance dispute. Finally, then Bishop Timothy McDonnell, announced the go ahead to build a new school to a jubilant crowd on March 3, 2014. Then a new Bishop, Mitchell Rozanski, was installed in August 2014 and in November he pulled back the reins on a new school and has placed the school's future in doubt.

The school started in Springfield in 1883 has had a continual stream of notable alumni and is well known for academic excellence as well as being a sports powerhouse. Notables include, but are not limited to, 1943 Heisman Trophy Winner, Angelo Bertelli; Larry O'Brien, Advisor to President John F. Kennedy and later US Postmaster General, then NBA Commissioner; NFL Hall of Famer Nick Buoniconti; current US Congressman from Vermont Peter Welch; tennis pro Tim Mayotte; current MLB pitchers Scott Brown and Chris Capuano; NBA player and coach Vinny DelNegro; and current Head Basketball Coach at UMass, Derek Kellogg. The list goes on and on and includes Monsignors in the Catholic faith, vice presidents of banks, judges, CEO's, business owners, prominent lawyers, political and civic leaders, and so many other highly contributing citizens to their communities. There are some 25,000 living alumni.

Cathedral students come from the Greater Springfield area, North Central Connecticut, and include international students. The student body represents a broad diversity. The entire area is in a state of shock that closing such a storied and a historic school like Cathedral is even being considered. Civic leaders, school neighbors, alumni, and a vast majority of Catholics and citizens in the Diocese favor a new Cathedral. More than enough money is available to build a new school from insurance and FEMA monies.

The Diocese cites declining enrollment, financially sustainability and money needed for "other ministries". Yet proponents for a new Cathedral claim that much of this is self caused by the Diocese itself and with a commitment to build, leadership, some simple marketing of the school, and proven fund raising based upon trust that Cathedral could evolve toward bring mostly self funded.

A little over year ago a small grass roots committee was formed called the Committee for Cathedral Action (CCA). The sole mission is to get a new Cathedral High School built and to give students the high school that they deserve, now and in the future. CCA confidently claims that with the proper leadership, clarity of purpose, some basic marketing approaches, and a commitment, that enrollment will increase significantly. That sustainability will come about by this type of positive leadership and creative funding as exhibited by other successful Catholic high schools. On November 20 CCA announced to a jam packed crowd at St. Anthony's Hall in Springfield the launching of Campaign Cathedral aimed at saving Cathedral High School. Attendees enthusiastically offered their support, signed up to serve on committees, and offered financial support.

On December 16, 2014 CCA is declaring this day as SAVE CATHEDRAL HIGH DAY throughout the Greater Springfield area, and North Central Connecticut as further encouragement to Bishop Rozanski to go forward, without further delay, and build the new Cathedral High School. People throughout the area will be encouraged to show their support by Save Cathedral High T-Shirts, bumper stickers, lawn signs, wearing Cathedral jackets, hats etc. or just by wearing the school color, purple on that day...anything to show their support for Cathedral High.

Worst Global Holocaust in History on Horizon

What is rapidly growing is the worst pure evil force in humankind. This potentially, if not dealt with, could be a hundred times worse than Hitler and Nazi Germany. This evil force is radical Islam. It is evil since it's fundamental premise is to force all people to convert to Islam, become slaves to it, or die. In enforcing this premise they indiscriminately and brutally murder innocent men, women, and children. They subjugate all women, including those who are Muslim. They have raped, mutilated, tortured, beheaded, or otherwise murdered young girls and women, and use others as sex slaves. Their intent it to kill all Jews and to wipe Israel off the face of the earth. They have burned down hundreds of Christian Churches.

In some areas of the Mid East they have brutally killed children including babies and toddlers 5 and 6 years old, beheaded them and placed their heads on poles, crucified them and used other uncivilized brutal murderous methods on them. Children! They have thrown acid in the faces of female school children and shot in the face a Muslim girl for getting an education. Fathers and brothers kill their own daughters and sisters for violating their twisted version of radical Islam. Parents proudly send off their sons (or daughters) to blow themselves to bits while killing innocent civilians, including children. They use their own people as human shields in combat, including women and children. Radical Islamists have a rabid and lustful blood thirst for killing.

All of the above is true and factual. We see it constantly in the news, example after example of it almost daily...it is undeniable. Many say that it is only a small minority of Muslims who are radical. If we do assume that most Muslims are good people and only a smaller percentage are the radical Islamists who commit these horrendous acts, we still need to be very concerned by this "small percentage"'. Let's look factually at the numbers involved that are radical and why we should be concerned.

Pew Research has indicated that there are 1.6 billion Muslims, 23% of the world population. Other sources indicate that it might be as high as 2.0 billion now. They are rapidly growing through converts and the jihadist approach of increasing births to increase the radical ranks. It has been projected that the Muslim population may be as high as 1 in 3 people in the world by 2030. Polls and various reports seem to indicate that about 10% (or higher) are radical Islamists. Sounds small at first glance, but if we use the 1.6 billion number this is 160 million radical Islamists world wide. It gets worse since some studies have indicated that although many Muslims are not actively radical themselves, as many as 20 to 25% agree with the premises of radical Islam. This means that from 320 to 400 million Muslims believe in or support radical Islam...more than the population of the entire United States! Don't allow those who use the words "small percentage" to lull you to a comfort zone over what is going on world wide. It is just the opposite, you should be alarmed.

Radical Islam is growing rapidly. There are those who are within the Muslim faith who are being brainwashed and radicalized. In addition there are those who are non Muslims, world wide, who are dissatisfied with life, dysfunctional, criminal, or who have a variety of other problems and who harbor hatred as a result. Radical Islam for many is a perfect place to vent their hatred in an organized way where they may feel that they have a higher level of importance and belonging, even honor in a twisted way. Examples of this are where apparent British and American citizens received international attention for the beheadings and mass murdering of captives in a rabid, blood thirsty manner. Geographically radical Islam is spreading widely across the globe to many countries and regions. There are pockets of radical Islam existing in Western nations.

Radical Islam is already a world wide threat, yet is only in it's rudimentary stages. Imagine what it will be like when it acquires weapons of mass destruction and the necessary delivery systems, and a high level of military technology. Already Iran is very close to developing nuclear weapons as we proceed with faux negotiations. Syria and now ISIL have recently used chemical weapons. With all the facts above and what has been said, the future massive threat of out of control radical Islam becomes frightening. It can become the worst global threat and holocaust in human history, a hundred times worse than Hitler's Nazi Germany.

We are at a critical crossroad. Unchecked radical Islam may very well gain control of the entire world as peaceful, free, and democratic countries sit back and do nothing. In the United States it is a fatal error to cover up, and at times seemingly refuse to state that radical Islam even exists, even though we have plenty examples of it. (We use self fooling words like "workplace violence" or refuse to even use the words "radical Islam".) Many European countries seem to have their heads in the sand on this issue and appear to be afraid to confront it. Yet some have pockets within their own countries where radical Islam exists and seemingly controls. Some countries attempt to ignore or appease it. All of this creates a very dangerous opening for radical Islam to move at an accelerated rate. Some good or "moderate" Muslim countries sit on the fence while playing both sides, opposing it at times and at other times supporting radical Islamic groups. All of this gives terrorism a near free pass since opposition is disorganized, singular, or non existent.

It is a time where no good, peaceful, democratic, and freedom loving nation can sit back. No country that believes in human rights and is opposed to the brutal killing of humans...including innocent children and women. No country that believes in slavery, since if not death, that is what radical Islam calls for. There can be no country that sits on the fence or sidelines. All must participate and be united to defeat and eliminate the threat of radical Islam, just as Hitler and Nazi Germany was defeated.

The evil force of radical Islam cannot be ignored. The longer we wait, procrastinate, use politically correct, "self fooling" words, the stronger it will become, leading to the worst global threat in history. It will be a threat to every single nation that doesn't want to be dominated by radical Islam.

United and immediate action is needed by all good nations of the world.

Obama Has Placed US Citizens in Grave Danger

The Obama administration has placed the United States in imminent danger of a major terrorist attack. It is fundamental that in order to deal with and solve a problem you have to first admit that it is there, identify it, and take action to address it. Yet the Obama administration has done just the opposite and purposely purged any mention of radical Islamic terrorism, and even the word terrorism, from any government and military literature, as well as with any public discourse. We have example after example of this...the Fort Hood act of terrorism is called "work place violence". The word "terrorism" is purposely avoided in reference to the Boston Marathon bombing, and so it goes. This refusal, for some apparent political purpose, places the United States in grave danger since the threat is not identified, yet it is real. The #1 problem facing the United States and the world is radical Islamic terrorism.

In 2009 President Obama failed to issue even verbal support to the uprising of the Iranian people. He essentially gave "silent approval" to the theocratic brutal dictatorship of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. The people of Iran weren't looking for military intervention and support, just words of encouragement. Today clear thinking people know that Iran is playing the United States for suckers through faux negotiations over stopping their nuclear weapons program. What they are doing is causing a delay in time to enable them to complete, not cease, gaining nuclear weapons capability. When they obtain this capability they will be a threat to Israel, the United States and to the world.

In Egypt and Libya the Obama administration gave support to the overthrow of Mubarak in Egypt, and Gaddafi in Libya. Yet there was NO PLAN to fill the vacuum. The obvious then happened, the vacuum was filled by Islamic extremists. The Obama administration gave support to the radical Muslim Brotherhood, even invited them to the White House. It took the Egyptian people to throw out the leadership of Morsi and the Muslim Brotherhood. Suffice it to say that the entire foreign policy of the Obama administration concerning radical Islam is a total disaster, throughout the Mid East, and throughout the world.

In Iraq and Afghanistan, instead of having a well coordinated withdrawal of US troops that provided for protection of those countries as the present readership were able to sustain control, there was an announced nearly full withdrawal that gave the radical extremists an opportunity to gain control. It defeats all common sense and logic. All of these moves by the Obama administration appear to be for political purposes, not for what is in the best interests of those countries and the United States. In Iraq we now have the early formation of a radical Islamic caliphate that is a threat to the entire region, the United States and the world. Expect the same sort of thing to happen in Afghanistan.

What is immediately most frightening is what is happening within the United States. We have total anarchy at our borders, a complete sieve taking place that allows not only illegal immigrants looking for a better life, but members of drug cartels, hardened criminals, gang members...and there are reports by border agents and sheriffs along our border that Mid Eastern radicals are intermixed and sneaking in, as well.

Most shocking, however, are the pockets and network of Islamic extremists that now exist all across the United States. They are located in Detroit, Kansas City, Dallas, Denver, Portland OR, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Tucson, Boston, Cleveland, Orlando, Chicago, New York, Newark,....any many, many other cities all across our country. ABC News reported in 2007 that there were more than two dozen radical clusters of Muslim young men in the Northeast that could lead to terrorist activities that could result in fatalities of American citizens. And that was in 2007, think about how much they may have progressed since then! There have been reports that Islamic terrorist groups have infiltrated Ciudad Juarez, Mexico and are planning attacks against the United States. There is a threat within our borders and to our country, and the threat exists NOW.

It is estimated that there are approximately 100 (or more) American citizens who are now fighting for the radical ISIL Islamic terrorist group in Iraq and Syria. Certainly many of these "Americans" came from the clusters of radicalism within the United States that already exists as identified above.

President Obama by his polices, and the Obama administration, have the citizens of the United States in grave and imminent danger of another severe terrorist attack. His failure, for political purposes, in recognizing, and identifying the problem, and taking strong action to address it is a major threat to the United States and all of our citizens.

"Social Justice" Schools - Poisoning the Minds of Our Children

An article appearing in the Springfield Republican on August 4, 2014 "Duggan transforming into social justice magnet school" Springfield's Duggan School transforming into social justice magnet school | masslive.com is only one example of the great danger sweeping across the country today attempting to poison the minds of our children. Indoctrination, not education, is the theme, with the emphasis as the title implies on "social justice". In recent years the sound good words, "social justice", are really code words for socialism and it appears that this is the real theme of the new direction of this school. Follow the money...the school is partially funded by and dependent upon the federal government, the US Department of Education. Social justice is a constant theme of the Obama administration.

What social justice is really about is:

* Discrediting our history as a country and our Founding Leaders and emphasizing what the early heroes did was wrong and that they really were not good people. That we should be ashamed of our history as a country, not proud.

* That democracy and capitalism are failed systems of government...that we should move more toward "social justice" (socialism).

* That we should move toward "distribution of wealth", take money from the rich (and all those that work) and give to others through heavy taxes and by other means. While most people believe in helping the poor and those in REAL need, this is much different and creates a nation of dependency upon government rather than the self initiative that has been the hallmark of America. That the federal (and state) governments should take this money and then give it by various means to others in creating a system of dependency upon government. Government should rule, not the people, since government knows better. Upward mobility of people in life should be discouraged, the government will take care of you.

* That we should greatly lessen our power as a country world wide, and de-emphasize our military significantly.

* Teaching that global warming, (or is it now climate change?),  is an absolute, undisputable fact and disallowing any other evidence or opinion, scientific or otherwise. That we should not seek energy independence through coal, oil, natural gas or any other form of fossil fuel...even if any of them are made to be "clean". They are all bad, no other opinion allowed. That humans through the emission of carbon dioxide are the main cause of polluting the environment. That people, homeowners and businesses, should be more than willing to pay sky rocketing costs for clean green energy. (Do you want to bet that all of these issues will be weaved into the curriculum at Duggan through "science" classes and social justice oriented classes? )

* and so much more

Yet we have NOT learned from history. The REAL and proven failed system of government is socialism. Socialism is sold by giving people the impression that they will be taken care of by the government, that they will take care of ALL people and all of their needs. What it does eventually is push people into a lower state of existence and into a state of dependency upon government. It takes away all incentives for people to better themselves in life. After a time, people do not like this. Their natural human spirit and instinct wants to propel themselves toward something better, they don't like this lower ceiling imposed upon them by government. They don't like this lower state of existence. They then begin to rebel. In order to maintain control the government gets more dictatorial and suppressive, they have to keep people in line. Socialism then turns toward communism, a brutal, dictatorial form of government where not only are people in a state of lower existence but most of their precious freedoms are taken away. We have examples of this in the former Soviet Union, China, Cuba, Central America , the former Yugoslavia, and in other communist countries that maintained brutal control over their people.

Nowhere was the comparison between democracy / capitalism and socialism / communism more vivid than the side by side comparisons in East Germany / West Germany and North Korea / South Korea. While West Germany and South Korea were thriving as democratic / capitalistic societies; people were actually starving in North Korea (still are) and East Germany...living in poverty. This is a direct result of socialism, the system of "distribution of wealth" , taking care of people, and all the other good words that the people were sold.

Oh yes, these countries also have / had the "one per centers" at the top. They are called the Communist Party.

Hillary - The Facts - NO to Her as President

* Hillary Clinton was fired from the Watergate Committee by lifelong and respected Democrat, Jerry Zeifman, Chief of the House Judiciary Committee investigating the Watergate scandal that eventually brought down the presidency of Richard Nixon. She was fired for being a liar and for unethical behavior by Zeifman.

* Hillary was involved in a fraudulent land scheme, Whitewater, while she was a partner in the Rose Law Firm in Arkansas. Some say she masterminded it. A key witness and financial partner of Hillary, Jim McDougal, was sent to prison and died there.  Also with the Rose Law Firm were Webster Hubbell and Vince Foster. Hubbell was sent to prison for tax fraud; Vince Foster turned up dead in Fort Mercy Park, Virginia. There were some questions about his death, he was a material witness into the Whitewater Investigation.

* Hillary fired the head of the White House Travel Office, Billy Dale, based upon trumped up, false charges. She then put in his place friends, Harry and Susan Thomas, so that they could reap the benefits of the government travel office. Billy Dale was later cleared of all her charges, but not before his life was virtually ruined. This came to be known as "Travelgate".

* In what became known as "Filegate" it was uncovered by the House Government and Reform Oversight Committee that Hillary had ordered up, without proper legal justification, more than 900 FBI files concerning the White House Travel Office scandal in an attempt to cover up this information. During this same Committee investigation it was discovered that Hillary and Bill Clinton also covered up and suppressed more than a million potentially incriminating E-mails.

* While Hillary, to this day, claims to be a champion of women's rights she throughout her married life has been an enabler of her husband toward the sexual harassment of women. She places political ambition ahead of women's dignity and rights. She knew that her husband was a philanderer and predator toward women. He used his high executive positions as Governor of Arkansas and President of the United States in order to gain or force sexual favor. This is sexual harassment at the highest level. Hillary not only enabled her husband in this illegal practice, she attacked the women who came out and disclosed his predatory actions. She called a very young Monica Lewinski a "narcissistic loony toon" as one example.

The Bill Clinton list is long: Paula Jones, Monica Lewinsky, Gennifer Flowers, Kathleen Wiley, Elizabeth Ward Gracen, and Dolly Kyle. There are many more. Kathleen Wiley said of Hillary: "How can you be a champion of women's rights and turn around and do what she's done to women like me?" She said that Hillary ran an investigation and smear campaign aimed at discrediting her and claims she did it to other countless women. Hillary, a champion of women's rights?

* Nothing was more devastating to the United States as what happened during the Clinton Presidency as he was moving toward his 2nd term and money was needed for the Democratic Party and his reelection campaign. It has been called "Chinagate" and even though documented the full extent of it's damage to America for some reason has not been fully revealed. During this period of time Hillary was heavily involved, so much so that many considered her as "Co-President". She was said to be the mastermind of the scheme where the Clinton reelection campaign of 1996 took bribes from communist Chinese banks and their government in order to bankroll their reelection campaign. She had Secretary of Commerce, Ron Brown, sell seats to executives of major corporations who were seeking Chinese business on Department trade missions to China.

During this time VITAL secret US information was given to the Chinese including rocket, missile, and space technology, nuclear weapons technology, encryption technology, military logistics technology and more. Just before Bill Clinton left office he gave China perpetual Most Favored Nation trade status with America. Today we can see the fruits of all this where China has surged in their rocket and space programs and where they have dramatically improved militarily. We can also thank Bill and Hillary Clinton for the fact that practically everything that we buy in America today is "Made in China". The "Chinagate" scandal in late 1996 and early 1997 got to such a level that joint congressional hearings were empanelled. Yet they were shut down when some Republican wrongdoing on illegal fundraising was uncovered. This along with the Monica Lewinsky scandal caused the whole thing to just drift away. Secretary of Commerce, Ron Brown, was killed in a plane crash in 1996 and there are some questions about his death.

And then there is Sandy Berger, former National Security Adviser to Bill Clinton. In 1999 he was "criticized" for not disclosing the espionage that China had acquired the designs of several US nuclear warhead designs. Yet he knew about this in 1996. In 1998 a diversion took place, taking people off track. A Chinese / American scientist, Wen Ho Lee, was falsely accused of nuclear weapons espionage in giving information to China. This took attention away from the Clinton administration. Wen Ho Lee spent 9 months in prison without due process. Upon his release the federal judge apologized to him.  In 2003 Sandy Berger was caught stealing documents out of the National Archives, stuffing them into his pants and socks. On all counts the Clinton's stood up for him, he got away with a misdemeanor charge. No matter, in Hillary's 2008 run for President, Sandy Berger was her Foreign Policy Advisor for her campaign.

* It is well documented and it has been extensively reported about Hillary's utter disdain for members of the White House Staff during the Clinton Presidency, including aids, Secret Service personnel, the FBI, and especially the military. She has been quoted as using the most profane foul language imaginable to the people around her...really degrading others. This should be a window into Hillary's true character.

* "I remember landing under sniper fire. There was supposed to be some kind of a greeting ceremony at the airport, but instead we just ran with our heads down to get into the vehicles to get to our base." Hillary Clinton giving a speech at George Washington University, March 17, 2008. Yet a number of media people present and nearly 100 accounts of her visit to Bosnia showed NO threats or sniper fire whatsoever on her visit. Telling the truth...or not...is a measure of character.

* Hillary Clinton. as Secretary of State had a direct responsibility for US Embassies and for Consulates. This includes their funding, staffing, and protection. Yet the Consulate in Benghazi, Libya, a very dangerous and volatile region of the world, was grossly under protected....and even with forewarnings of dangers. In addition it was September 11. Yet the Consulate was attacked by organized terrorist action on that day and our Ambassador and 3 other Americans were murdered. Hillary and the Obama administration knew that evening that it was an organized terrorist attack. Yet for political purpose they chose to lie about it to the American people and tell us it was a spontaneous outbreak caused by a You Tube video. Hillary not only lied, she sent her report, US Ambassador to the UN, Susan Rice, out to 5 major TV networks to perpetuate the lie. Hillary then proceeded to lie to the families of the deceased Americans when their coffins were returned to the US.

We are at the crossroads in American history. In my lifetime I cannot recall our great country being so low. We elected a President that we knew very little about other than he had no prior leadership or management experience, no financial / budgetary experience, and no foreign policy experience. Most of his other background remains cloudy and a mystery to us to this day. It was a mistake.

Yet we have in front of us an opportunity, perhaps a last chance to save our country by placing good leadership in the highest office. Some have said that Hillary Clinton is a sure thing to become our next President.

I ask you to look at the facts above and ask yourself....Is this the type of person that you want to lead our country?

Israel - Hamas, Time to Recognize the Truth

After World War II the cry was "never again" in reference to the Nazi concentration camps and the brutal inhumane killing of over 6 million Jews...men, women and children. Yet we have not learned, history is repeating itself. Anti-Semitism is growing across the world to a level even greater than that of the World War II era. It is certainly present throughout the Mid East, but shockingly it is also prevalent throughout Europe and the United States. Further, it is present throughout the media, Western governments, including the United States, and certainly in the United Nations.

There is no greater evidence than the upside down, hypocritical, totally irrational thinking and reporting concerning Israel and the Hamas controlled Gaza Strip. In 1994 Israel gave this territory to the Palestinians in the attempt to bring about peace. Yet this territory has been a source of rocket / missile launching at civilian populations in Israel. No other country in the world would sit back and allow this to happen without some sort of response. Hamas does not want peace. They do not recognize Israel as a country. Worse, in their Charter they call for the destruction of Israel and the killing of all Jews. Hamas is recognized in all rational areas of the world as a terrorist organization. The son of the Hamas founder, Mosab Hassan Yousef,

has stated that they are a terrorist organization. He stated that Hamas wants to push it's radical political and ideological agenda and wants to destroy Israel and ANY country that does not believe in its ideology. During military conflict they purposely place, and even drag, children and women to places where they are engaging in military action since they KNOW that the Western media will pick up on this and blame Israel. This is exactly what happens...played for suckers. There are even videos of Hamas dragging screaming children to their military sites to be used as shields showing this.

Israel goes to extremes to forewarn residents of the Gaza Strip of the areas that they will attack in response to Hamas military strikes against Israel. They send leaflets, make phone calls...do everything possible...unheard of during warfare when your country is being attacked.

Yet what the media does is alarming. If they treated Hamas as a moral equivalent to Israel that would be bad enough. What they do is even worse than that. About 80% of all media reporting is anti-Israel...it is Israel's fault. The United Nations does the same...blames and criticizes Israel, in this case about 90% of their issued statements! Our own federal government criticizes Israel for defending itself in spite of all known facts concerning Hamas. The only real democracy in the Mid East, our strong ally and supporter, Israel, and it's leader, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu are continually insulted by our current administration. In some cases they even show favor to Hamas. House Minority Leader, Nancy Pelosi recently called Hamas a "humanitarian organization". Totally unbelievable.

When writing this letter I continually asked myself...Where are the Jews? Why do I have to write this letter? Where are all the Jews across America and Europe? Why aren't they speaking up? Why do they ideologically, in very large numbers, align themselves with the left when they are obviously ant-Israel, anti-Semitic? It is like spitting in your own face. Why aren't they defending the Jewish state, Israel, the Jewish people? Their Jewish faith?

There is a right and wrong here and it is crystal clear. There are many good Palestinian people. Yet Hamas is about an evil of an organization that you are going to find. I am a Catholic but I love Israel and I love the Jewish people. I highly admire Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. He stands out as being one of the greatest leaders of our time...courageous, clear thinking and clear speaking. Everyone, including our own government, should listen.

Fight Against Common Core - For Your Children

By dangling federal funds in front of the states, the federal government has circumvented the law and the Constitution and is binding most of the states into following the same academic standards, using standardized assessments funded and reviewed by the Department of Education, and building the most expansive data collection system on our children in American history. Here again is a case where the federal government is taking control, in this case education, and most importantly the minds of our children. They use all the feel good and sound good words, but what in effect they are doing is, step by step, taking power away from the states and the local school districts. Common Core is a set of nationalized educational standards that are really the first step toward a national, federally controlled curriculum.

The approach is simple, but very devious:

1) Entice states to sign up by dangling large sums of (taxpayer) money in front of them. Use "sound good" words to describe Common Core in kind of general and nebulous terms. Amazingly, just like with the Affordable Care Act a majority of states have signed up for Common Core without realizing what is in it!

2) The states and the schools over time will become dependent upon the money from the federal government and will not want to lose it. They will be "hooked". And that is the intent.

3) The federal government will take complete control over what children are taught in school. The worst possible outcome.

4) The federal government will establish a "program officer", and most likely a board that oversees compliance through the Department of Education. This office will have the power to redirect consortia activity and (money) if "outcomes are inconsistent with intended project outcomes". In other words complete control.

Common Core has nothing to do with education. It is all about power and control by the federal government. Control over the minds of our children.

The United States and our citizens were taken by all the lies and deception of the Affordable Care Act, where the federal government now has complete control over our healthcare. Common Core will now give the federal government complete control over what is taught in our schools and the minds of our children. This is very, very dangerous for our country.

Fight it! For our country and for your children....FIGHT IT!  

Massachusetts Budget Out of Control

Massachusetts is is now $130 billion in debt. Also, 29% of the state's revenue is dependent upon the federal government, and the federal government is $17.6 trillion in debt. For Fiscal Year 2014 Governor Deval Patrick submitted a budget, during a depressed economy, for $34.8 billion, a 7% increase that included a $1.9 billion tax hike and a $400 million withdrawal from the state's (mysterious) reserve fund. Under Patrick, between FY's 2009-2013 expenditures increased $11.7 billion, a 23.6% increase while the cumulative rate of inflation during this same period increased only 9.1%. This clearly shows the pattern outspending both income and inflation as our massive state debt increases.


The Massachusetts FY 2015 Budget (beginning July 1) passed by "lawmakers" is $36.5 billion, a $1.7 billion, or 4.9% increase. The current rate of inflation, 12 months ending May 2014 is 2.1%, so our state budget increase is 2.3 times the rate of inflation.


The State House News Service has reported that the FY 2015 Budget exceeds the estimated 4.9 % revenue growth and also counts on casino licensing fees of $73 million and slot parlor revenues that may or may not happen, essentially betting on the come. This seems to be a practice all too common under the Patrick administration and our one party legislature. Claimed revenues that are in the budget are not solid and this invariably leads to dipping into the mysterious "reserve" or "rainy day" funds. When you are $130 billion in debt it has already "rained".


What is desperately needed in Massachusetts is fiscal responsibility by our elected representatives. Currently there appears to be NO responsibility. It is only a matter of time before the entire Massachusetts economy will come crashing down. Then all the citizens of the state, irrespective of party, will be severely and negatively affected. I urge people to look at the facts and not at just the political rhetoric. It all comes down to basic arithmetic, and it will affect everybody.


In 2012 a State Integrity Investigation graded the Massachusetts budget process. They gave Mass an "F" for Public Access of Information; an "F" for the State Budget Process; and a "D+" for Legislative Accountability. The citizens of Massachusetts deserve better than that. They also deserve a media / press that doesn't just report what they are told, but does true journalism in asking the tough questions and digging out the facts....a true practice of the First Amendment.

How to Bring About Dramatic Improvement of the Veterans Administration

If I were the US Secretary of Veteran Affairs This is what I would do to turn things completely around and the timetable to do so.

1) Working with others, while still maintaining strong leadership, I would immediately put in place a new Mission Statement for the VA. This Mission Statement would be placed in a prominent location in every VA facility in the nation. The Mission Statement would contain a reference to our very purpose of existence....to serve all veterans to the highest possible level of promptness, quality, care, customer service, and follow through. Our human concern for their care will be paramount. I would make it clear that all employees of the VA understood and followed this Mission Statement as a condition of employment.

2) I would ask the President and the US Congress to pass immediate legislation that would allow me and my designates the ability to fire any employee of the VA that did not perform and live up to the highest standards of veteran care.

3) I would assemble a meeting of all regional heads of the VA and let them know specifically what our new standards are and what will now be expected. At this meeting I would let them know that any manipulation of records or performance would result in immediate dismissal and possible criminal prosecution.

4) I would do away with all internally generated measures of performance and put in place ONE PRIME MEASURE. That measure would be based upon input from veterans, themselves. Veterans will be asked on an ongoing basis to rate the performance of the VA on the following:

a) Promptness of gaining an appointment and ability to receive responses...customer service.

b) Quality of their medical care and their processing as a patient.

c) Follow through on them as patients.

d) How they were treated, the human care and dignity aspect exhibited by the VA.

A rating system would then be summarized for each location and region and kept constantly visible. The veterans will determine performance, not some bureaucratically generated internal rating system. Where the veterans ratings of a location are low these will be investigated. Not all problems may be due to individual performance but due to other factors that need change and support. Yet individual performance will also be judged based upon veterans input and corrective action taken.

5) New standards of expectation will be put in place. These standards will be partially derived from ongoing studies of results from the private and public sectors concerning medical care, particularly from some of the best performing hospitals and clinics in the nation. Also such things as the number of patients typically seen in a day for given specialties as compared to the VA.

6) People, including good VA employees, thrive where there are clear rules and high standards and when they succeed they are rewarded. To begin with the pay of all VA employees will be slightly better than the average for their job description or specialty in the public or private sectors. Based upon veteran ratings, they will be subject to bonuses. Performance, pay raises, and promotions will also be tied to veteran ratings.

7) High performing locations and individuals, based upon veteran ratings, will be celebrated and recognized.

At the end of 6 months you will see initial progress.

At the end of 1 year you will see notable progress.

At the end of 2 years you will see substantial progress.

At the end of 3 years the VA clinics, hospitals, and patient care will be recognized as being the best in the world.

All of this CAN be accomplished. This is a guarantee.

Filthy Fish on Your Plate?

The United States is bound by two oceans and a gulf, and has many thousands of lakes, rivers and streams, yet we import 91% of our seafood. Why? Worse only about 1 percent is inspected and only 0.1% is tested for banned drug residues according to the US Government Accountability Office. Filthy fish products may contain dirt, insect fragments, and rodent hair according to News21 (journalism program at Arizona State University).

Even though the United States is richly bound and blessed with waterways and fish sources we are ranked 13th in the world and have a $10.4 billion trade deficit...and it is growing. Again and again where is our leadership on this? We should be consuming 91% of are OWN fish, not importing it. And, we should make darn sure it is well inspected, clean, and healthy.

The next time you sit down and have some seafood think about what you are eating! There is a high probability that you will be eating un-inspected seafood from China. Are you comfortable with that? 

More will be written later about ALL of our food sources and why we import with such rich farmlands in America.

Obamacare Database Being Gathered on You

I have experienced this myself and several people I know have also experienced it. When you go for your doctor's visits you may be asked a series of very personal questions that have nothing to do with the reason for your appointment. They can be very invasive types of questions and frankly are none of the government's business! Why are they asking these questions? The reason is obvious, they are building a database of very personal information on you. In the future, the information that you supplied them can be used against you when Obamacare comes into full swing. Panels (and there WILL BE panels) when they review and recommend (or not recommend) treatment for you will use this information, that you supplied, to make their decision. Note that this decision will be made by non medical professionals, Washington bureaucrats, and not solely between you and your doctor.

This comes right back to the original premise of the chief architect of Obamacare, Dr. Ezekiel J. Emanuel.

He has written extensively about who should get medical care, who should decide, and whose life is worth saving. He believes that expensive medical care should be reserved only for those "most productive to society". Emanuel espouses a school of thought that redefines a physicians duty toward working toward the "greater good of society" (as defined by him), rather than focusing on a patient's needs. In effect, it is de facto rationing of healthcare. Many physicians find this view dangerous. His approach to healthcare has a similarity to that of Dr. Josef Mengele, the Angel of Death of Nazi Germany, where certain groups of people are considered expendable for the greater good.

In addition to the fact that Obamacare was forced through Congress by back room threats and bribes, not openly on C-Span as promised; that we were outright lied to about keeping our current healthcare and doctors; that it was going to be less expensive; etc. etc......It is also fundamentally based upon evil premises of denying certain groups of people life saving healthcare.

Tea Party Purposely Mischaracterized

The Tea Party movement was the most pure grass roots level movement in America over the last 50 years. It was not led by behind the scenes organizations or powerful individuals and money, but was a spontaneous outcry by patriotic Americans deeply concerned about the current direction of our country. Due to the potential influence on our country this scared the hell out of those not only on the left and Democrats; but many in the Republican establishment, as well, since it could diminish their power and control. The mainstream media also did not like the movement one bit, partly because of their biased ideology control over the minds of Americans, and also because they were being exposed by the Tea Party for what they are. For all these reasons, no matter what, they had to be stopped.

Yet what was this Tea Party movement really? First, it was not an organization so much in the beginning as an amorphous movement of everyday citizens united by common concerns (Thus, grass roots). And what were their concerns? They were upset by out of control federal spending and the impact of this upon our country, their children, and future generations. They were upset with more and more federal government control over their lives. They were upset with the diminishing role of world leadership of the United States, and a weakening of our military strength as a deterrent to attacks on our country and potential war. They were upset about the increasing circumvention of our Constitution, if not outright violations of it. They were upset with the media's very biased approach to news, essentially approaching a path of selective propaganda, as well as failing to report relevant news based upon their agenda. Although they possessed compassion for people entering this country, they were upset with the federally allowed total anarchy at our borders. Although they supported helping people in REAL need, they were upset by our government increasingly pushing people into a state of dependency, allowing people to "game the system" and driving us to becoming a welfare country. They were upset with the leadership in Washington, both major parties, lack of true leadership on what is best for America, the corruption, the enormous waste of taxpayer money, and the lies and deception given to the people. They were deeply concerned about America!

During the early stages I attended several Tea Party Rallies as a photojournalist, not as a member, I wanted to see and record what they were all about. I saw and talked to a young Hispanic woman in Springfield, MA. She was very concerned about the huge debt and out of control spending, the impact of this upon her young family. I saw people in Hartford, CT not with professionally prepared signs that are so typically provided by the backing organization; but homemade ones in their own handwriting. I saw a young woman with two small children and she told me she was a Democrat who was concerned about the direction of our country. I saw many seniors, as well as mid aged people, who were concerned. Without exception they were all very friendly and polite to talk to, yet they expressed their deep concern. I found them to be just everyday people, next door neighbor types. At one rally I thought that it was noteworthy that the main speaker was a black man. I also saw first hand an agitator who appeared to be purposely sent in to cause a disruption and have it recorded, but the people there were too smart for that, they handled it beautifully stating that he had a right to free speech. Also noteworthy, not like so many rallies and protests, when they left the site they cleaned up every single piece of paper or garbage, and left it spotless like they had never been there. The Tea Parties were actually a model for holding rallies for expressing concern over an issue.

Yet for those in power, they had to be stopped. The first step was taken by the media. They either failed to cover them at all, or sparsely covered them on a back page. This is an ongoing media trick on how to handle relevant news, yet not part of their agenda. It happens all the time and just proved one of the Tea Party concerns. When they did cover a rally a step used by the media, in a large crowd of a few thousand people, they would try to try to find an outlier, a person dressed funny or who says something outrageous. Show him in the news and make him appear like he is representative of the Tea Party movement. (They are all like that.) You can always find one or a few. Then start to introduce words like "radical". Of course they were also called "racists". That is another trick, when you have no retort, call them racists...that always works and get attention away from the subject. . Say it over and over and over. After awhile, uniformed people will begin to believe it. They are radicals! They are racists. Television news people pick up on this quickly. Next the politicians picked up rapidly on this. House Leader, Nancy Pelosi, with a tear in her eye talked about the "balance between freedom and hatred"...how the (Tea Party) "rhetoric is frightening". Many other politicians expressed their concern over this "radical" and racists movement...including some of the Republican establishment who felt that their power and influence might be usurped. It is very sad since here we have a group of people who care deeply about their country labeled as extremists. Mission accomplished, for the most part, the very patriotic Tea Party movement was purposely mischaracterized.

I would strongly advise people, including the news media, and politicians to find out the truth. The Tea Party movement still exists and it's membership is not only those who sign up to join, or give a contribution...it is composed of millions of silent people who feel strongly in concern about the current direction of our country.

The Truth and Facts Concerning Benghazi

This is what is known about Benghazi:

* The US Consulate in Benghazi, Libya, in a dangerous and volatile region of the world was left under protected. There were forewarnings of attacks on other consulates, including that of the US. The date of September 11, 2012 dictated that strong protection should have been in place due to the significance of that date. This placed the lives of our US Ambassador, Christopher Stevens, and other US personnel in jeopardy.

* When the attack on the Consulate took place on September 11 it was known at that time that it was a planned and orchestrated terrorist act by networks linked to Al-Qaeda. A US Embassy or Consulate is considered sovereign US territory. This was, in effect, an attack against the United States of America. It was extremely serious.

* The Commander in Chief, President Obama, makes the decision in such situations, with consultation with members his Cabinet and White House Staff, but the President is ultimately responsible for the decision. He chose for US Military forces to "stand down" in the region. As a result our Ambassador, Christopher Stevens, information officer Sean Smith, and former Navy Seals, Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty were murdered by the terrorist action against the sovereign US territory. This failure of action violated all principles of not leaving behind, and protecting US personnel, particularly while in the service of our government.

* Many retired high ranking military officers where appalled that those in service of our government were, indeed, left behind to die. Also many of them who had tactical military experience and responsibility stated that over the number of hours of the terrorist act that there was time to scramble US Military aircraft and personnel with a high probability of saving at least 2 American lives.

* The President and his staff not only failed to act, but for purely political purposes so as not to contradict his Democratic Convention speech where he stated "Al-Qaeda is on the path of defeat...." concocted a story that the attack in Benghazi was a spontaneous uprising due to a You Tube video when they knew this not to be true. They then sent UN Ambassador Susan Rice to 5 major television talk shows in order to deliver this false message to the American people. President Obama, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, White House Press Secretary Jay Carney, and many others in the administration repeated this lie over and over. They even told this to the families of the dead US personnel when their bodies / caskets were returned to the United States. The President of the United States and other key administration people lied to the American people so as to protect his chances for reelection. Period.

* Information has now come out that not only was the attack NOT due to a You Tube video, but was clearly a planned and organized terrorist action with networks linked to Al-Qaeda. As this information came out President Obama, his administration, and others then began, uncontested by most media sources, to change their story right before us with no consequences whatsoever.

* In a blasphemous insult to the First Amendment to the Constitution concerning "freedom of the press" and to the profession of journalism, media sources such as the NY Times, The Washington Post, The Boston Globe, The Hartford Courant, USA Today, and many others who had full access to the truth, chose not to report it. They even went so far to help cover up the truth and divert attention away for it. They put their blind support of President Obama over their country, over America. A very sad time for our nation.

* Democratic leadership in the Congress such as Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi and important committee members such as Congressman Elijah Cummings, and others placed their loyalty to the Democratic Party over their loyalty to America, and have been complicit with the lies and cover up concerning Benghazi told the American people. A very sad time for our nation.

* "Benghazi" is a hundred times worse than Watergate, the 1970's scandal that caused President Nixon to resign. This was a Nixon White House driven break in of the Democratic offices at the Watergate Hotel in Washington. Looking at the truth and facts Benghazi is much, much worse involving incompetence, malfeasance, unnecessary loss of human life by people in the service of the government, a failure to respond to an attack against US sovereign territory, and finally lies and deceit to the American people for purely political purposes in order to gain reelection to the highest office in our country, the Presidency. Much worse.

It is time that the media told the truth. For America!

US / World Threat Must Be Confronted

Fundamental problem solving dictates that first you have to define the problem. Yet the United States, and the world, for reasons of political correctness, and fear, refuse to identify what is perhaps the biggest threat confronting us. Yet most rational and clear thinking people unmistakably know what it is, but many allow themselves to be lulled asleep by governments and the media who chose to ignore and fail to identify this major problem.

Across the world there are approximately 1.6 billion Muslims. If you begin with the premise that most Muslims are good people, not all Muslims are bad, and the percentage of those that are is relatively low; this is this where you have to be careful. There have been a number of polls taken across the world and it varies by country and by region, but summing it up about 10% of Muslims are very radical Islamists. That is no small number, it is about 160 million radicals. Further polling of Muslims across the world has revealed about 20 to 25%, although not themselves involved with radicalism, support and agree with it. This is 320 to 400 million Muslims! Now this is a serious problem. To put it into perspective this is more than the entire population of the United States currently at 318 million.

Why are they a threat to the United States and to the world? They have openly stated that their goal is to wipe Israel off the face of the map, and to destroy the United States. This even comes from the leaders of some Islamic nations. Along the way they want to destroy Europe and the West. In fact they offer the only alternatives of survival as converting to Islam, becoming a slave of it, or die. This is their interpretation of the Koran! In addition to their desire to destroy entire countries they have expressed their desire to kill all Jews and Christians, in particular, and there are thousands of examples where they have already done this. In the Sudan they have raped and mutilated Christian women and left them laying in the fields as examples. They have bombed Christian churches and killed Christians in the Mid East. They shot and killed a Catholic priest while saying Mass in the Philippines. Many of the abducted girls in Nigeria are Christians where they are attempting to sell them as slaves or outright murder them. These attacks on Christians are increasing. 

Thousands of missiles and rockets have been launched against civilian populations in Israel. Suicide bombers have blown up buses in Israel, killed people at shopping malls and restaurants...and it goes on and on. Iran is racing toward a nuclear bomb. The Mid East is on fire with new very radical Islamic leadership.

The radical Islamists even attack other Muslims who do not agree with their extremism. Their crimes represent horrific hate. They kill little children, women, and men indiscriminately. They have thrown acid into the faces of school children; shot in the head a young Pakistani girl who wants nothing more than to receive an education and to have women receive an education. They have beheaded journalists, raped a US journalist; their hate knows no boundaries. They murdered and dragged through the streets our US Ambassador in Libya. They wish to subjugate women and openly violate ALL rights of women and their freedoms under their dictatorial control. They will even go so far as to kill their own daughters or sisters through "honor killings" if they step out of line. In 2013, in Pakistan alone, there were 869 "honor killings" of women by family members.  What could be more barbaric? 

All these atrocities are happening on a daily basis right under our noses. There is a major and ongoing holocaust taking place world wide. Yet the US government refuses to recognize and identify this major threat to our country and the world. They call them "individual criminal actions" rather that what they are...terrorism by radical Islamic groups. The media follows suit and when an act of terrorism does happen they steer the news away from the fact that the perpetrators are radical Muslims; we seem to find out much after the fact. Other governments across the world follow suit and keep their heads in the sand on what is really going on. The UN does nothing and says nothing. So the major threat continues unabated.

Many take the approach..."as long as it doesn't affect me". But it DOES affect you! When you go through an airport you are put through an extensive process of security check. Even though you may think the risk is small, there is the fear of you or one of your loved ones being killed or severely injured by a terrorist act. Your individual freedoms are violated by phone / cell, E-mail, vehicle black boxes, security cameras, and even drones today. Not only are your freedoms constricted and violated you pay for all this through taxes and fees. Trillions upon trillions of dollars are spent in the United States and across the world in order to prevent terrorist acts...yet terrorism isn't even identified as such. We seem to be playing a game.

Those continuing trillions upon trillions of dollars could be spent for feeding the world's starving population, giving shelter, a place to live, to the homeless. That money could be used to help the poor, improve and ease the ability to provide education, particularly in third world countries. The money could be used for medical research in finding a cure for cancer, heart disease, aids, and so many other diseases. It could be used in using rational approaches toward cleaning up the environment. It could be used to provide better standards of living for all people across the world. The money could and SHOULD be used to help human kind!

It is time for the United States and for all nations across the world to first identify and then confront radical Islamic terrorism and the great threat that it is to all the world. It must be confronted and stopped. By a unified effort it can be done. The solution to this world wide problem will allow money and efforts to be used for the betterment of all human kind. It is time to RECOGNIE and confront a major and serious world wide problem. 

Massachusetts Economy in a Shambles

Massachusetts is bankrupt. Did you know that the state is now $130 billion in debt? This is never mentioned, but it is a fact. Also think about this: 29% of the state's revenue is dependent upon the federal government, and the federal government is $17.5 trillion in debt. This is also a fact. Whatever happened to the common sense logic that it is extremely unhealthy to spend much more than you earn and accumulate massive debt? Unfortunately few, if any, business schools teach this today.

This was revealed in the mind set of Governor Deval Patrick when he submitted the Fiscal Year 2014 Budget. (What reserve when you are $130 billion in debt?). Yet in spite of the over spending and massive debt, Patrick continually plays Santa Claus with taxpayer money. Who doesn't love a guy who gives you money? Two hundred million dollars here, $50 million there, another $20 million over there. To those not looking at the severe consequences of such action Patrick is a hero. But where are we headed?

We also need to face another reality in the State of Massachusetts. First, let me clearly state that we should always help those in real need. In fact we have an obligation to do so. Having said that it is well known that Massachusetts is a sucker state for massive welfare fraud. Nowhere was this more exemplified than by the Boston Marathon bombers, the Tsarnaev brothers. They came to this country on the false premise of escaping persecution in their home country. For 10 years they hardly even worked yet they were provided places to live, food, cars, membership to clubs, free education, including college, and essentially all their expenses paid for by taxpayers. They were even able to take an expensive vacation back home where they were supposedly being persecuted. Suckers is what we are! Yet they are only one example, welfare fraud is widespread and massive in the state.

A Cato Institute White Paper in August of 2013 revealed that Massachusetts potential welfare benefit packages total $37,346 tax free. Why work? This is equivalent to an average working person, paying taxes, earning $50,540. And this welfare benefit package is on the increase. There have been example after example of potential welfare fraud reported yet the Patrick administration and the state bureaucracies are very secretive about this and in some cases refuse to offer information even to state legislators. When Patrick was asked about how much the Tsarnaev brothers were given to them by the state he said that he wanted to protect their rights. How about the rights of taxpayers, paying the bills?

Benghazi Much MUCH Worse Than Watergate

The "Watergate" scandal in the 1970's that caused President Richard Nixon to resign was based upon a White House driven break in of the Democratic National Committee offices at the Watergate Hotel in Washington, DC. This was heavily reported by the media who made dramatic and constant daily news out of it. Many called for his impeachment, eventually President Nixon resigned because of it.

Benghazi is at least 100 times worse. Following are the reasons why:

* The US Consulate in Benghazi, Libya, in a dangerous and volatile region of the world, was left under protected demonstrating incompetence and even malfeasance. There were also forewarnings with attacks on other consulates and even that of the US.

* This was further accentuated by the fact that it was under protected on September 11, 2012 placing the lives of our US Ambassador, Christopher Stevens, and other US personnel in jeopardy. There should have been highlighted concern about the date, September 11.

* When the attack on the Consulate took place it was known at the time that this was a planned and orchestrated terrorist act, by terrorist networks linked to Al-Qaeda.

* A US Embassy or Consulate is considered sovereign US territory. This was, in effect, an attack on the United States. It was extremely serious.

* President Obama chose for US military forces in the region to "stand down" and not try to help save the lives of our Ambassador and other US personnel. As a result our Ambassador, Christopher Stevens, information officer Sean Smith, and former Navy Seals, Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty were murdered. Yes, they were real people and have names! This failure of action violated all principles of always protecting American citizens, particularly those representing our government.

* It is reported that while this attack was under way, President Obama went to bed to prepare to attend for a fundraiser in Chicago the next morning, which he did attend.

* Worried about the upcoming election and President Obama's political narrative that we had Al-Qaeda on the run and essentially rendered ineffective, a knowingly false story was created by the White House. This story was that the attack on our Consulate was a spontaneous action caused by a video that was deemed insulting to Muslims. This false story was given entirely for political purposes in order to help ensure President Obama's re-election.

* Susan Rice, the US Ambassador to the United Nations was then sent out to 5 major television network programs to deliver this false story about the video being the cause. President Obama, himself, along with Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, Press Secretary Jay Carney and many others in the administration also delivered this knowingly false story. This false story was even told to the families of the dead US personnel when their bodies were returned to the US.

* The whole premise of the false You Tube video story is in itself shocking. What it infers is that terrorism and murder were justified by the video. It was the videos fault and it originator as the reason that caused the terrorist acts and murder. Yet Christianity and Judaism both receive nearly daily insults and that is apparently OK. 

* To this day it has been made worse by a massive cover up on what really happened. Documents have been withheld, with obfuscation and lies taking place before congressional committees.

Unlike Watergate, the media has remained essentially silent, complicit with the cover up. Yet Benghazi is 100 times worse.

March For Life - Message From Youth Ignored

Undauntedly they ignored the winter storm on the East Coast, the cold, freezing temperatures, and they went to Washington. Hundreds of thousands of them marched, mostly young people, including many students. Their cause? They want to protect the lives of beautiful, innocent, helpless babies. Have we arrived at a point where young people have to teach us how to be humane?  Where are the rest of us? Is it the purity and clear thinking of youth who ONLY can see through propaganda, falsehoods, and distortions to show us the way?

And where was the media? Nowhere is there an example of a biased media than the purposeful failure to cover major relevant news each year concerning the annual March for Life in Washington. The media who are supposed to record and present the news to the American people in a factual manner, the very purpose of the profession of journalism, and the reason / responsibility for the inclusion of "freedom of the press" in the United States Constitution. Not only is the annual event essentially ignored and downplayed....just as importantly the trend is not reported. The trend is that more and more people are pro-life, and the startling trend is that young people in our country are significantly more pro-life. This is major, major news.  Yet it is well known that the media has arrived at a point where they will report as headline front page news a handful of people gathered on a street corner for a cause they approve of...yet ignore hundreds of thousands of people marching in Washington who represent the pro-life cause. This is not journalism; it is anti-news at the highest level.

Yet at the same time the media will build up as heroes such people as Wendy Davis, a state senator from Texas, who filibustered a bill that would prohibit abortions after 20 weeks. They will build up as a hero New York Governor, Andrew Cuomo, who wants to push legislation that would allow unrestricted abortions, without parental notification in regard to young girls, up to and including 9 months of pregnancy. Then he turns around and calls those who disagree with him as "extremists". Still further, the media will glorify and hide the truth on organizations such as Planned Parenthood, who perform over 360,000 abortions a year while at the same time collecting $542 million in taxpayers money. (Fiscal 2012).

Even before modern methods such as ultrasound and other technological instrumentaion, medical science proved the existence of life within the womb of a pregnant woman. The evidence is irrefutable. Yet we are allowing the taking of that precious life through brutal, inhumane procedures at the rate of over a thousand times per day in the United States alone....56 million lives since Roe vs. Wade.

How can any of us sleep at night knowing that this is happening in our country?  How can the media live with themselves for not reporting the truth and facts, and actually covering up the taking of human life? The youth in our country, in significantly increasing numbers, are crying out, trying to show us the way. This message should not be covered up, but reported as a headline issue in every form of media outlet throughout our country.

I firmly believe that all of us some day will be asked what we did to protect human life. What will your answer be?

Major Obamacare Crisis Looming for Seniors

The stage was set in the very beginning. The chief architect and advisor on Obamacare, Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel, stated and wrote extensively that his position was that expensive medical care should be given only to those "most productive to society".  (By direct inference, NOT seniors.)  President Obama, himself, on ABC News, made comments about not having expensive surgery in favor of a painkiller. Cass Sunstein, Obama's regulatory czar said that rationing is good public policy; and David Berwick Obama's appointee to head the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid called for treatment to be denied according to "quality adjusted life years".  In spite of whatever is said or written to the contrary, de facto healthcare rationing for seniors was designed right into the Affordable Care Act. The evidence is overwhelming.

As if more proof was needed, part of the funding for Obamacare was to take 3/4 of a trillion dollars out of Medicare. Obviously this directly affects seniors and the reimbursement rates given to doctors for Medicare patients. As a result of the all the above the following is sure to happen and is very predictable:

1) Soon seniors will receive a letter from their insurance carriers of their supplemental medical insurance. They will be dropped from their present supplemental insurance and will be forced to go out and find new insurance to supplement Medicare.

2) In the Obamacare pool of insurance carriers they will find that the rates are very high, deductibles will be high and other costs, such as co-pay, etc. may be added. It will be a huge financial jolt to seniors on a fixed income.  

3) There is a good chance that in going to the Obamacare pool of insurance carriers that seniors will not be able to keep their present doctor. (It is already happening with millions of younger people who have private insurance.) This is when a VERY serious problem sets in for seniors.

4) When they attempt to find a new doctor, they will have great difficulty since already many doctors are not accepting new Medicare patients. Why? The Medicare reimbursement rates are so low that it becomes very difficult to run their medical care business...they cannot financially survive!  This will affect not only seniors who are currently on Medicare, but those who will soon reach an age where they will be. This will cause a major crisis since seniors will not be able to even find a doctor to treat them!

5) The Federal government is already requiring doctors to ask Medicare patients a series of questions in order to build a data base on senior patients. These questions are really none of the government's business, yet the information will be used in the future to allow a panel to determine if and what medical treatment will be allowed to be given. 

All of this is looming on the horizon for seniors...a major, major crisis. This will happen to people who are now seniors or soon will be, that for all their working lives paid into Medicare. We have Obamacare and both parties of Congress to thank for this. We have in Washington essentially a Godless people who will determine what groups of people are expendable. This is the type of thinking that existed in Nazi Germany. No one would have ever imagined that this would happen in America.

Just in case anybody cares or is interested, the de facto healthcare rationing against seniors that is designed right into Obamacare is a direct violation of the Age Discrimination Act of 1975 that prohibits

discrimination on the basis of age in programs or activities receiving Federal financial assistance. As already stated there is overwhelming evidence of rationing against seniors built right into Obamacare.

The Obamacare crisis will surely hit seniors in 2014, it is just a matter of time. It will be major.
