The Boston Globe is losing money for a very simple reason. You chose to pursue a far left agenda and for several years have been involved in pushing an ideology rather than reporting news in a true journalistic fashion. People, readers, your customers, immediately recognized this. Not only have they recognized this, they have been outraged by it. Their response has been NOT to purchase to Boston Globe. Sales still lingered somewhat since some readers may have enjoyed certain parts of the Globe...sports, or certain sections or columns in the paper. Even for those, however, the ideological slant became too overwhelming. The result of this is the financial failure of the Boston Globe.
The Globe was able to exist in severe financial difficulty for a time, apparently since there was financial backing and encouragement from behind the scenes sources who wanted to push a far left agenda, not only on Massachusetts, but on America. Eventually, even this source of money will also dry up, and that is exactly what has happened to the Globe. It is a just destiny since there has been a betrayal of journalistic ethics, a betrayal of the profession, and nothing short of a betrayal of America that has been occurring at the Boston Globe now for several years.
All of this can be turned around in an instant. It is simply this...return to pure, unbiased, ethical, professional journalism. What people, your customers REALLY want is news that covers both sides of issues with a fair and balanced approach. One that does not try to fool people or propagandize people, one that is devoid of an agenda. People also want to see true investigative reporting, revealing the truth, not favoring any party or ideology. If the Boston Globe would only follow this approach people would immediately recognize it and sales would increase dramatically, it is a guarantee.
It is a hope that whoever purchases the Boston Globe will follow the approach above. There is still a great need for good newspapers in America, in fact people long for them. Yet there are few. This approach will lead to financial success and reestablish the Boston Globe as one of the finest newspapers in America.
